Students from across schools in Bishop's Stortford are providing new mentoring sessions for elderly residents who want to get online. The scheme has been organised by Mark Prisk MP and has the backing of the town's Rotarians.
Last year pilot sessions were run by students from Bishop's Stortford High School, Hockerill Anglo-European College and Herts & Essex High School. The initiative is designed to offer one-to-one mentoring for those older residents wanting to get online.
Now new sessions have been organised for the end of April. Mark Prisk said "I am delighted that students are again offering to help local people, get online. As more public services go online, we must make sure that no one is left."
The dates of these sessions are:
Tuesday 28 April, 3.30-4.30pm
The Bishop’s Stortford High School
Wednesday 29 April 2pm-3pm
Hockerill Anglo-European College
Thursday 30 April 2pm-3pm
Herts & Essex High School
